What makes a good theory of science

I am interested to know what people think makes a good theory of science within the NKS context? What I mean by that what constitutes proof since NKS doesn't use equations, but simple programs what is considered to be necessary to say you have a viable theory of something?

Thanks

It isn't any different with NKS.

I know you think you have a perfect understanding of the scientific method.

But if you get bored get the book "Objective Knowledge: an evolutionary approach" by Karl R. Popper.

Qualified, educated opinions welcome... so not you mike... and I don't think I know everything, merely that I know more then you...

as evidenced by age and level of education and if you want to bring it up IQ.

Thanks, you are indeed the class clown, you defy the rules of logic while most people's ideas get better, your's don't they stay the same (a true marvel). I submit as evidence http://groups.google.com/group/sci....6165f84f00d24b2

And there are more all you have to do is look online...

I do find it funny that someone who has never read anything that he did not write would be suggesting a book that he did not write. But hey maybe your fetal intellect has improved more then I would give you credit for...

Maybe with the right attitude, you would be discussing "What makes a good theory of science" rather than how funny of a guy I am.

That "Immortal Fumble" makes a point I stand by.

My interest in physics has nothing to do with getting a degree or a job.

It's just part of a much larger journey.

Mike, allow me to take a moment and thank you for aiding me in demonstrating what a class clown you are. There are many words one can apply to this but we'll leave those to peoples imagination. I don't understand what you believe your doing besides providing more ammunition for me to make fun of you with. If this be the case another round of thanks is an order, and by all means continue posting that I may have fun at your expense.

As to your point of discussing what makes a good theory of science with you? Hmmm... to what end? How would this discussion benefit anyone? Perhaps a better discussion would be how Mike can make a contribution to society which is obviously now with his intellectual abilities those being non-existent. Perhaps some job that does not require to much cognitive capacity would do.

But hey lets examine the pattern that this crank chooses to follow:
1 post his ideas on a forum
2 have his ideas destroyed
3 post his ideas on a forum
4 have his ideas destroyed
5 post his ideas on a forum
6 be made fun of
7 post his ideas on a forum
8 be made fun of
continue this pattern to the utter edge of ridiculous, and then find a new forum and start all over.

I ask you honestly are these the actions of someone with tremendous intellect? No, these are the actions of a fool, but don't take my word for it, as I said above please keep posting that I may continue to have fun at your expense, especially when the fun is so cheap and easy to have, since you don't seem to know your the subject of this fun making fest.

Thanks
