Various 3d (and higher dimensional) fractals
I developed a few different new (as far as I know) fractal formulas while in pursuit of a "true 3d Mandelbrot type fractal" over at fractalforums.com, in addition to modifying an interesting fractal type that Tom Lowe developed.
The formulas can be explored with ChaosPro, an excellent freeware fractal software package, in the "Benesi" folder included with the software package. The math should be self explanatory after you glance at the code (open up the fractal formula's window in ChaosPro (hit F8 or use the menu) and select a formula set or use a text editor- I find the formula window easier). A few of the various equation types do not generate actual fractals, but rather generate interesting non-fractal objects.

Anyways, have fun with the fractals.
