Greg Chaitin and NKS 2003 video clips
Courtesy Jeff Grote from Symantec (thanks, Jeff!) we have posted six clips from the first NKS conference ever, NKS 2003 in Boston, June 27-29 2003. The first one is the panel on NKS and Mathematics (from left to right in that video: Matthew Szudzik, Gregory Chaitin, Rudy Rucker and Stephen Wolfram). There is a fair amount of genuine Chaitin in that first video clip (basically the entire second half, about 12 minutes) and I hope you will enjoy it. I have placed all these clips on the What's New? page of last year's conference:

We also hope to post clips from this year's conference (NKS 2006) soon.
Also, two of the best Chaitin lectures ever are available on YouTube (which is absolutely sensational!):

and

The YouTube lectures are in chunks.
The first one is the CMU 2000 talk and the second one is the 2004 lecture in Portugal.
The CMU talk appears as the first chapter in Exploring Randomness.
Also, I can't remember if the minicourse was videotaped this year or not. It was absolutely excellent! If anyone has that or any other videos could you please post them or perhaps let me know maybe we can find a way to post them on our site?
Thanks again and all the very best to everybody.
... Adrian
P.S.
Chaitin lectures on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/results?sear...n&search=Search
Stephen Wolfram lectures on Google video: http://video.google.com/videosearch...n+wolfram&hl=en
There are no Chaitin lectures in Google video or Stephen Wolfram lectures on YouTube, as far as I can tell.
It would be nice to have an NKS YouTube. The conference blog this year was exceptional, as was the entire conference!
