The first midwest NKS conference is next month (October 28-30) organized by Indiana University Computer Science Department and IU School of Informatics.
We have a wonderful program with keynote talks from Ray Solomonoff, Todd Rowland, and Matthew Szudzik and via videolink, from Boston to the Indiana Memorial Union, on Saturday night: a videoaddress from Stephen Wolfram himself. In addition there will be a reception, an opening address from Prof. Mike Dunn, Dean of IU's School of Informatics, a round table Friday night/evening, and many sessions with interesting individual presentations during the three days of the conference. Deadline for paper submission is October 5, late registration ends on October 10. We hope to see as many of you as possible here in Bloomington, at the conference, next month. The conference is coordinated by IU Conferences Office and we gratefully acknowledge the sponsorship of IU Department of History and Philosophy and Science, IU Department of Astronomy and the IU Cognitive Science Program (part of Indiana University Department of Psychology).
