Java Applets for NKS Course
In Spring, 2003, I taught a section of the San Jose State University graduate computer science course CS 240:Software Project using the NKS book.
Each student created a Java applet illustrating one of the NKS example programs, and wrote a report. We combined all of this onto a web page with this address:
http://sjsu.rudyrucker.com/
[This is a kind of an odd address, in that it starts with sjsju, so if you find it hard to remember, you can also use www.rudyrucker.com/nks]
The site also includes information about how the course was taught, should you feel like orgainizing a course along these lines. The course went over quite well.
Note that in order to view the Java applets, you should have Java 1.4 (sometimes called Java 4) or newer.
I gave a talk on this at the NKS 2003 conference this summer.
