[VIDEO] Electronics Project for CA almost complete.

I'm a computer scientist and a programmer, but up until now I'd never done anything physical. I saw that TI had a really good price on their Launchpad @ $4.30.
Not content with blinking lights, I thought the most interesting thing I could do with 2KB flash and 128B of RAM would be a Wolfram-style CA.
So this is the MSP430G2231 surrounded by $20~$30 worth of parts haphazardly arranged. I'd never done any soldering or circuit design before so it took quite a while and is a bit disorganized.
I'm pretty happy with the state of it right now, but I think I'd like to make some further speed improvements, add some variety in starting conditions, and filter out the rules that aren't visually interesting.
After that is done, I can post the source code and a complete parts list if anyone is interested.
