These numbers show up in a maybe ancient site on the Cumberland Plateau in TN.
PS They are what I call survey ratios. Triangles are involved.

Sorry I am so late responding to this, it is a bit hard to see the context in which it might be useful. But your numbers are very closely approximated by moderately simple rationals, specifically 36/85 and 121/85. The numerators are perfect squares. Of course they also give a crude approximation of the square root of 2 and that -1, though not to the precision you have. FWIW.
