Been a nut about philosophy / physics for ages. Mostly a hobbyist thru popular literature: Some of my favorites being:
Taking the Quantum Leap, Fred Alan Wolf
The Quantum Self, Dana Zohar
The Tao of Physics, Fritjof Capra
Hyperspace, Michio Kaku
The God Particle, Leon Lederman
The Nothing That Is (a Natural History of Zero), Robert Kaplan
Am currently reading The History of Pi, Petr Beckmann (fun!)
Have the NKS book and am facinated that the patterns within are serendipitously similar to many of my own math experiments.
Have been looking for a like minded group or friend to debate and grow with, perhaps offer some mentorship. Some of the stuff here is admittedly over my head--formal-academically, speaking.
But, I think I have a bright strong mind and a unique perspective as a female and as an artist by profession.
Have never done the newsgroup thing--so am green on newsgroup culture. Would very much appreciate a candid and genuine opinion about whether this is the right place for me.
