Isn't this like some cellular automaton? Which one is it? What could be the essential features that cause it to look like this?

Cloud formations are parts of nature, and act in accordance with a simple rule.
The amazing thing about this specific cloud formation is the appearance of what looks like the Mandelbrot Set about 2 seconds into the clip!

This seems to me a naïve view
What is this simple rule? Spell it out please!
In reality since cloud formations are part of nature they do not act in accordance of a simple rule.

A would-be NKScientist
Glanced up and saw the sky
Not knowing that a Zionist
Was looking on nearby
Suppose the cloud is simple
It looks like Mandlebrot
But then again my daughter
Said she saw a rainbow and a pot
Whether its gold or fame or fortune
We all need to recognize
There’s something grander here
Than merely meets the eyes.

I look forward to the operational definition of your proposed adjective, so we can continue the dialogue!

Even if the bird-eye view shows something simple we still have an infinity of other "reference points" from which we should also consider the object of our fancy. What does it look like from the south side? From a mile away? From the inside? ...
